Experienced American KJ McDaniels (197-F-1993) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader Pelita Jaya Bakrie Jakarta and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 31-year old forward had a double-double of 27 points and 18 rebounds, while his team beat NS Matrix (#4, 0-3), the league's bottom-ranked team 88-82. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Pelita Jaya to jump to the first place in the Basketball Champions League Asia. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Pelita Jaya won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game McDaniels had a remarkable 58.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Pelita Jaya's top player in his first season with the team. Clemson University graduate has very impressive stats this year. McDaniels is in league's top in points (6th best: 21.0ppg), rebounds (6th best: 11.5rpg), assists (2nd best: 7.0apg) and averages solid 2.5bpg and 61.9% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American guard Byron Wesley (196-G-1992) of BIM Bishrelt Metal Ulaanbaatar. Wesley impressed basketball fans with 34 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Of course Metal cruised to a 98-86 relatively comfortable win over NS Matrix (0-3). The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Wesley is a newcomer at Metal and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 34.0ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 9.0rpg and 8.0apg.

The third best performed player last round was another Metal's star - American Devon Scott (205-F/C-1994). Scott showcased his all-around game by recording 24 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. He was another key player of BIM Bishrelt Metal Ulaanbaatar, helping his team with a 98-86 win against #4 ranked NS Matrix in a game of the week. Metal needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 1 victory and 1 lost game. Scott has a great season in Basketball Champions League Asia. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.0ppg (5th best), rebounds with 10.5rpg (7th best) and assists with 5.0apg (6th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Toluwalope Obasa (208-C-1999) of NS Matrix - 17 points and 17 rebounds
5. Brandon Jawato (193-F-1993) of Pelita Jaya - 28 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Julian Boyd (203-F-1990) of Pilots - 20 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Jarrod Jones (206-F/C-1990) of Pilots - 24 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists
